“All we can save” and
all we have to lose.
We have so much to lose. So much that is worth saving.
The potential to lose
and the potential to save;
two sides of the same coin.
Do you feel it?
One million species perched on the lions gate bridge.
Stripped of home, dignity, basic essentials
food, water, air
the cold.
Do you feel it?
A million and one species
slated for extinction
Do you feel it?
A million young voices
enough is enough
WE are worth saving!
Do you feel it?
How beautiful
that we still have so much to lose
so much that means so much
that you and I, and thousands more
join hands
reminding one another
of the other side of the coin
the coin
wobbly on its axis, steadying with increased momentum
Grief, Despair on one side
audacious Hope pulling back from the other
between two sides in tension
a space for motion.
I clamber into that space.
together, we push two sides apart
create room
for more hands to join us
we are headed simply
for a good life
a Good Life For All.
on the edge
of the coin labelled
loss and possibility
Do you feel it?
